Rice rocket or the fast and the furious

This video was made on July 14, 2007 at the Cal Poly Pomona: Downtown Center. The Second Saturday is an Artwalk and the exhibition Hybrid Theories opened and this is what transpired that evening. Lowrider Dialogues is part of an ongoing exploration of cultural hybridism that comes as a result of globalization and mass customization, leaving communities struggling to keep their local identities. Hybrid Theories is the concept that no matter what large corporations throw at us, there will always be sectors that grow and thrive on the fringes of conformation and mass indoctrination that consumerism dictates.
